I like to redefine the boundaries of print, as naturally more a painter when I was drawn to the discipline it wasn’t because of its sharp crisp lines and direct technique it was because I found in printmaking I could create in a way I couldn’t within my paintings. In time I found a sense of calm and freedom within the control and intricate nature of carving lino prints and collographs. But I would often combine these techniques with the much more fluid and unpredictable painterly method of mono printing.
